New Generation Water Pump Controllers Installed

Fri, 20 October, 2023

After designing and manufacturing the newest generation of water pump controllers, the IMPHORAA consortium has begun installation of the new units in villages across Madagascar.

This has been undertaken by Nanoè and their team (See figure 1, below, for an image of the controller unit).

The objective is to provide water and electricity with better efficiency than before.

The new units were installed alongside the pumps themselves and connected to the existing nanogrid system (see Figures 2 to 4, below, for installation process). Existing customers can benefit from these units as they allow them to purchase credits in order to buy cheap clean water. In the past, obtaining clean water was a large task for these communities, but IMPHORAA has provided the solutions required.

The consortium is excited to see future developments and witness how this impacts people’s lives in off-grid communities.
